A few good things.

You will all be glad to know I had a very nice weekend.

On Saturday was my baby shower and I had a great time. All my friends were there and everyone was super nice and I had great food and they made me a very cute cake. Everyone really went all out to make sure the day was special for me and I got tons of great gifts for Ryland. It was awesome. I have the greatest friends in the world. People took lots of pictures, so if I get any maybe Iíll share them. It really was a fabulous day and it feels good to be so loved. I hope everyone else enjoyed themselves, but it doesnít really matter, cause it was MY DAY not theirs. Ha ha.

I also got internet access this weekend, high speed internet access. And it is free, to make it even sweeter. I love free. Now I can internet away to my heartís content and all from the comfort of my own home.

On Friday, I had an OB appointment and my doctor did an internal exam and told me I was 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced (effacement is the thinning of the cervix). I am not in active labor yet, but she told me I could go at any time. So who knows when this baby will come. I havenít felt any contractions. I may have this baby in a few days or in three weeks, who knows. But Iíll tell you this much, itís freaking me out.

After Iím done being pregnant, I donít get to go back to the way I was before, back to my normal life. And the only way out of this whole pregnancy thing is to have this baby. And after that, then there will actually be a little tiny baby in my arms. For the rest of my entire life. Itís scary and intimidating. And exciting as all hell. But damn if it doesnít bend my mind.

I am both happy and sad to no longer be pregnant. Iíve really liked being pregnant, even the bad parts and the uncomfortable parts. Pregnancy is such a surreal experience. You only get one first pregnancy. And when itís over, itís over.

So to recap: I had a terrific baby shower, I finally have high speed internet at my house and Iím 2 cm dilated.

I apologize now for the boring entry. Expect more of the same.

One would think now that you have high speed internet at home we, as loyal loafe readers, would be entitled to more than one post per week.

Just think how much quicker you'll be able to download all that gay porn now ;-) WOO HOO!!! man, I gotta get myself a little bun in the oven, so I can have a party and cake and presents. Okay, so I just had that a couple weeks ago for my B-Day, but still... so did you get any baby clothes made from hemp? I see them selling that around here and for some reason, it makes me violent. Damn natural fibers! I would make my baby wear synthetics or nothing at all! okay, i'm a freak and so perhaps it's a good thing i'm NOT a mother. Although damnit all to hell, ever since i've turned 30 i've got the whole maternal, biological clock thing happening, AAAAHHHHH!!!!!! so someone had better put their penis inside me soon, before my time is up.
