More reasons why Brookline is the silliest town in Massachusetts. Although I don’t know if I’d quite categorize it as “Breaking News”, boston.com.

Still, I’d like to live there. They have a good public school system. Those Jews know what they’re doing.

Also, the town would make an assload of money if they doubled the taxes on SUVs. It’s a legal requirement to own at least one SUV as a resident of Brookline. It’s true. Look it up.

Ha! TV in the Netherlands has got all the action.

Reality television is absurd by its very nature, so their taste in programming doesn’t bother me. Or surprise me. I don’t doubt that the geniuses behind American reality TV are jealous they can’t be as ridiculous/ethically ambiguous/exploitative. And I’m also sure that most of them are blissfully and voluntarily ignorant of the fact that their programming here in America IS all those things, and more, even if the content pretends otherwise.

It seems to me that the Dutch are a little less obsessed with the hypocritical moralizing and sanctimonious behavior we Americans so adore. Even if you don’t particularly care for their tastes, it’s certainly refreshing. Of course, my opinions are based entirely on circumstantial evidence. I’ve never been to the Netherlands. I don’t even know anyone Dutch. I did like the Austin Powers Goldmember movie (“I’m from Holland, isn’t that veerd?”). And I’ve smoked a lot of pot.
