seriously though. I refuse to root for a hockey team that has cheerleaders. for pete’s sake, cheerleaders! in hockey! it makes me vomit.

    Every time you write a post about hockey, I think of my boss, who used to read loafe semi-regularly. Back in the day, we would argue over which one of us you would fall in love with first if we flew to Boston & kidnapped you until you truly loved us (don’t judge – we’re rich & important advertising executives, we have no time for traditional wooing!).

    We’re both pretty similar, we like the same music, movies, political views, etc, so it was a tough choice. I figured it was me, though, because I was younger, funnier, in better shape, and plus I had more experience with the ladies. He always figured it was him, because he grew up in a hockeytown in Michigan, played hockey all his youth, and loves nothing more than a woman who likes hockey. Plus, he’s totally a multi-millionaire, which would afford you a life of constant loafery. I totally couldn’t get behind it, the hockey thing, and so I never mentioned it to you, in case we ever enacted plan “Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down”, as it was known. I didn’t want you to know my achilles heel. But now that he no longer reads the blog, and you’ve totally fallen in love with me without anyone having to kidnap anybody, I guess I can confess the horrible truth. I don’t really like hockey that much, or even at all. It seems slow, and the scoring is rare and it’s like indoor soccer on ice with fighting, and that’s just something you’re going to have to come to grips with if you want to continue to receive my sweet, sweet, loving. If, btw, you no longer wish to receive my sweet, sweet loving now that you know the truth, email me & I’ll give you my boss’s phone number. He’s been married to his college sweetheart for 20 years & has four children, but you can always play the hockeychick ace in the hole and he’ll be your slave.
