photo mish-mash
this is my new haircut. I like it. it’s pointy and flippy and fun, wheee!
I’ve found that when taking pictures of myself, I look much better when the flash washes out my features and makes me blurry. I wish I could transfer that effect into my actual face.
You know something else? When I got my haircut, I told the girl that I wanted about 3-4 inches off, which seemed like a lot of inches to me, but it’s what I wanted, right? And then I demonstrated where I wanted it to fall, at my shoulders. She looks at me like I’m simple and says “Um, you know sweetie that isn’t 4 inches. That’s more like 8.” And she was right. I had a lot of frigging hair. You never realize how long your hair is until it’s on the floor, in all its dead, unattached glory.
Now, to make this post interesting and worthwhile, here are a few photos of the boy I happened to stumble on to a few mintues ago. The first three are from earlier this month, and the rest are from late November last year.
RG loves to climb and stand on anything remotely dangerous. Sure he’ll get hurt if he falls, but as my dad would say, “that’ll learn him.”
He apparently also loves to read books while sitting atop a mound of toys inside his toy box. (hee. I said mound and box in the same sentence.)
This sporty little picture was obviously taken before his haircut. Quite fetching, I think, long hair and all.
I love how small he looks in this picture. Such a big field, such a little boy.
Not quite sure what he’s trying to say, but he’s not shy about saying it.
I love this picture. I don’t know why exactly, but it makes me feel very happy inside, and this strange sort of pleasurable sadness.
We were playing a little game where he’d put a leaf in his mouth and I’d reach out and brush it away and say “yucky! don’t eat that!” and he’d laugh and then do it again. I have a little video of this that I’m planning on showing soon. vCute.
Finally, here is a picture from Thanksgiving. These are RG’s cousins. From his father’s side of the family. obviously.

And by the looks of things it sure ain’t Gordon’s genes that make Ry so gorgeous. Everyone agree?

Your hair-do is divine Christa Sista. The last photo reveals that you should not ever have to worry about Machiavellian plots brewing or hatching from that bunch. That is good. Plus they seem happy.

I totally know what you mean about that photo of Ry spinning. It is so cute. It makes me feel the same way. Happy to see him having so much fun and complete joy, but very sad because I miss him so much… and you of course. These are the best times with him all of the new discovers in life.
