I like to do drawings.

I’ve got prune hands.

No, okay, but I do like to do drawings.

This a page from one of my notebooks.
full drawing

These are the individual pieces of that page:
figure 1
figure 2
figure 3
figure 4
figure 5

I could have scanned this in better. I just didn’t.

I wish I could draw for real or do illustrations or something interesting. But my alas, my talents lie elsewhere. I’m stuck with these funky ink shapes that really don’t mean anything (except for in my head they sort of do). I still think they’re cool though.

They might look cool carved on to wood blocks and then blot inked. Use those inked blocks to create
border patterns on a rough hemp cloth. make the edges of the clothe all frizzy or something then hang them on the wall. Just a thought.

Christa- those images are really cool! My dream is to make Hallmark cards. HA! Gina wants to go into the card making business too and she will really want to when she finds out that being a fancy-pants lawyer means that you just read law books all day long. Soooo, you should go into business with us. We can call your line, “Random evil shapes by Christa.” Billionaires we will be.

oh we’re so going to rock this world with our business, Amanda. count me in!

    what should we call ourselves?

  4. Amanda

I dunno. Gina and I have been stewing over a name for some time now. We need your creative mind.

I am glad you all liked my drawings. I did this cool thing in photoshop where I inverted the colors. It looks really evil now!

hey brasten do you have the new mac os? tiger I think it’s called?

Gina and I once had a brainstorm in Virginia over ideas for names for our eventual company together. They were all lame.

maybe the three of us can come with something better.

the one on top right looks like a penis.
the one on the bottom right looks like ovaries and stuff. actually, the one on the top left looks like that too.
the one in the middle looks like a vagina.

    very perverse …

Is it worth it?? That’s tough… If you have $129 laying around and like fun new features and spend lots of time on your computer, then yes…. if that $129 was supposed to buy your food for the next couple weeks or you rarely use your computer, then no. My favorite features are Spotlight and Dashboard. Spotlight lets you search EVERYTHING on your computer nearly instantly… if you’re always looking for files, emails, documents, photos, etc.. this will save you a ton of time. Dashboard lets you pop up little widgets on your screen instantly and get rid of them instantly… so you don’t have to open applications to do stupid stuff like use a calculator, check the weather, etc. I use a widget called DashBlog to post to my blog straight from Dashboard… piece of cake.

Ultimately it doesn’t feel like a radically new operating system, no.. it feels like the same one you have, with a couple nice, time saving features.
