At 6am feding time my baby cat George did not show. I looked arounf and saw his little nose poking out from one of the hidy boxes in the dining room. He came out and I picked him up. He howled like a wilderbeast when I touched his abdomen. Upon further examination, I felt a fleshy mass protruding from his abdomen. He howled when I touched, he also felt hot. He is at the hospital now and the feeling is its some kind of hernia.
When he was in my room waiting for the animal hospital to open, Sassy, the old girl, came in and gently sat down next to him and layed her fron paws gently on his chest, it was so beautiful I took pictures.
Estimated cost of this, if he lives, will be 3 to 5 hundred dollars. Being a cat parent can be stressful at times.

The Dr just called. George must have been hit by a car. He had internal bleeding, and bruised kidneys causing blood in his urine. He had a tear in his abdomen causing his guts to jut out, so he did have a hernia. Price $565.00. Looks like Ill be a cat nurse for a while.
I don’t understand drivers who think it’s funny to speed up and try and hit cats. I’m sure that’s not what happened, but some people do that, and it pisses me off.
I don’t care if you don’t like cats, but anyone who would try to hurt another person’s pet – or not care when someone else does – is unbelievably cruel and a horrible person.
I’m sure whatever happened to your cat was a freak accident, DG.. I’m sorry though, being a cat parent is VERY hard sometimes.

I doubt it was deliberate, after 9pm and until 630 am NO ONE drives down my street except the ocaissional police car. I only say car because the Dr says the injury is consistant with a blunt trauma. He could of fell from a tree. I dont really see anyone deliberately hurting him, Hes a skittish sort and probably misjudged a tree branch or something. I did see him at 1000pm and he was fine. The other cats where coming and going at 3am and acting a little strange, wanting affection then running off repetively at that time, trying to get my attention, so it may happened around then.
You should of seen Sassy comfort him. It was beautiful.

I just got back from the vet. My cat is a sorry sight. It is a bloody sutured mess from chest down to his privates. He has a cone on his head and an IV in his back leg. I plunked down the $600 pelts but I dont get him back till tomorrow. I got pictures of him at the hospital it is quite pathetic.
The Dr now suggests a large dog or coyote got him by the gut and did a death shake on him but my cat got away in time.

DG – very sorry about your cat. I’m a cat mom of 2 cats and I’ve been extremely fortunate – no big vet bills so far, but my older cat is 14 so… anyway, best wishes for a speedy recovery for George!

George came home 2 hrs ago. He is a changed yet still sweet baby. The sutured wound is absolutely hideous. It leaks fluid and its bigger than his whole tiny little body. I hope he pulls through.

I’m Mexican. Can you clarify? I’d like to talk about Mexicans, but only specific Mexicans. If, for instance, there’s one I dislike in particular, can I say to him or her, “Hey, you fucking wetback, I hate your spic ass,” or do I need to only disparage the entire people group at once and avoid ethnic slurs in relation to singles?
