So I need to leave for the airport in a few short hours and what am I doing? I’m lying here in bed, anxious and unable to fall asleep. Because of course. I can’t just be normal and go to sleep and be well rested. I have to be all twitchy and itchy and restless and neurotic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I always have a lot of anxiety right before traveling, but tonight is more than usual. To the point where I’m trying to figure out reasons and excuses for me to cancel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m fretting because… well, for a lot of reasons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For example, this is my first time on a airplane since the pandemic. It’s actually my first real trip anywhere in nearly 3 years. Ahhhh!!! Ahhh! AHHHHH! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And it’s my first work trip with the new company. there are going so many new people and I have to meet them all, face to face. Ugh. I hate face to face. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I am stressed about leaving the boys for so long. I don’t like it. I am missing nick’s orchestra concert. (And the bruins only trip to CO.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AND I HAVE TO DRESS UP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
See? So many things for me to churn and burn over. And now I’m gonna be exhausted and cranky on top of it all. Maybe I’ll get a bloody Mary at the airport and really make it fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
